The Youth Development Professional plays a vital role in fostering the growth and development of children and adolescents in a supportive and engaging environment. This position involves working closely with youth to promote their social, emotional, and academic development through various activities and programs. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage diverse classroom settings effectively.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging educational and recreational activities that promote youth development.
• Implement behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
• Provide support in areas such as homework assistance, tutoring, and skill-building activities.
• Foster relationships with students to encourage their personal growth and self-esteem.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by adhering to first aid protocols when necessary.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and community members to enhance the educational experience.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation in programs.
• Assist in planning and organizing special events, camps, or extracurricular activities.

Experience

• Experience working with children in various settings such as daycare, tutoring, or childcare is essential.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Background in early childhood education or special education is highly desirable.
• Skills in sports coaching, theater, or other extracurricular activities are a plus.
• Previous experience in Christian counseling or youth mentorship is beneficial.
