YouTube Growth Strategist — US Channels (SEO, CTR & Retention) — Night Shift, Karachi

Why this role matters

You’ll own growth for US-facing YouTube channels — not an uploader job. If you can read an Audience Retention graph, craft a thumbnail brief that lifts CTR, and translate search intent into titles that rank, this role gives you budget, editorial ownership, and measurable KPIs.

What you’ll be judged on (KPIs)

• Thumbnail + title A/B lift (CTR increase)
• View velocity & Search impressions (per video)
• Watch time / Avg View Duration improvements at critical drop-off points
• Number of ideas executed / experiments completed per month

Day-to-day

• Design titles & thumbnail briefs that improve first-minute CTR without harming retention.
• Analyze retention graphs and create retention-fix playbooks (minute-level fixes).
• Optimize descriptions, tags, cards, and chapters for search + watch behavior.
• Plan 4–8 week content calendars driven by US search trends & competitor gaps.
• Brief designers & editors; review deliverables against KPI targets.
• Run rapid experiments and report to Growth Lead.

Must-have (apply only if)

• 1+ year hands-on YouTube growth experience (channel you’ve worked on — personal, brand, or client). You must be able to show results.
• Deep working knowledge of YouTube Studio + vidIQ or TubeBuddy + search tools (Ahrefs/Keyword Planner).
• Comfortable with night shift and working on-site in Karachi.
• Portfolio requirement: Paste one channel URL you managed AND a 1-line summary of the result (example: “Channel X — increased CTR 18% & average watch time +22% over 8 weeks”).

Good-to-have

• Experience with thumbnail scripting, basic editing (Premiere/CapCut), and running paid A/B tests.
• Basic SQL or analytics comfort (optional).
