YouTube Thumbnail Designer

We are looking for an experienced YouTube Thumbnail Designer to join our in-house content team in Islamabad.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of YouTube thumbnails, visual storytelling, and audience behavior. This role requires someone who can understand video concepts, work closely with scriptwriters, and create thumbnails that are clear, engaging, and aligned with the content strategy.

We are building multiple faceless YouTube channels across different niches, so the designer must be versatile, adaptable, and comfortable working with different content styles.

Key Responsibilities

- Design high-quality thumbnails for faceless YouTube channels.

- Work across multiple niches, including history, geography, true crime, drama, documentaries, and storytelling.

- Collaborate with scriptwriters to understand the video idea, hook, and core message.

- Develop thumbnail concepts based on scripts, topics, and references.

Application Requirements

- Research competitors, trends, and successful thumbnail styles in each niche.

- Create visually clear, engaging, and platform-appropriate thumbnails.

- Adapt design style according to each channel’s branding and audience.

- Use tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Canva, and AI tools where required.

- Revise designs based on feedback and team direction.

- Maintain quality, consistency, and timely delivery.

Requirements

- Proven experience designing YouTube thumbnails.

- Strong understanding of YouTube, CTR, viewer psychology, and thumbnail strategy.

- Ability to convert video ideas into strong visual concepts.

- Proficiency in Photoshop or similar professional design tools.

- Experience with AI image tools is a plus.

- Ability to work across different niches and design styles.

- Strong sense of composition, contrast, colors, typography, and visual hierarchy.

- Good communication skills and ability to work with writers and the content team.

- Reliable, detail-oriented, and open to feedback.

We are looking for someone who understands thumbnails beyond basic graphic design. The ideal candidate can think conceptually, understand why people click, and create thumbnails that support the video idea and channel direction.
