YouTube Video Producer

Remote, United States

Med School Insiders | 3 Channels | 2M+ Subscribers | Mission-Driven Team

Med School Insiders is hiring a YouTube Video Producer to transform recorded content—voiceovers, talking head footage, screen recordings—into polished, high-performing YouTube videos across our three channels: Med School Insiders, Kevin Jubbal, M.D., and Jubbal & Cars.

This is a production and operations-focused role, ideal for someone who thrives on structure, timeliness, and quality control. You’ll be responsible for ensuring every video is delivered on time, on brand, and without compromise—by coordinating with editors and animators, enforcing SOPs, running quality checks, and publishing content across platforms.

You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Director of Content to execute a shared creative vision. If you’re the kind of person who takes pride in smooth systems, loves checklist-driven consistency, and knows how to lead creatives without letting deadlines slip—you’ll thrive here.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire post-production process across 3+ YouTube channels and supporting platforms (Instagram, Vimeo, etc.)
  • Manage a team of video editors and motion designers, ensuring timely execution and adherence to our quality standards
  • Review drafts, give actionable feedback, and ensure final outputs match the creative brief, brand voice, and formatting guidelines
  • Use checklists and SOPs to maintain consistent video quality, pacing, formatting, and technical specs across all content
  • Handle video uploads and publishing: write metadata, optimize for SEO (title, tags, description), add end screens, playlists, and cards
  • Run A/B tests (thumbnails, titles), monitor performance analytics, and coordinate improvements across the funnel
  • Train new editors and animators on our systems and workflows, and help them use tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Powtoon
  • Stay current on YouTube best practices, algorithm changes, and platform tools (YouTube Studio, Vimeo, TubeBuddy, VidIQ)

Who You Are

  • 3+ years producing and publishing content for YouTube or similar digital video platforms
  • Strong project manager with proven ability to lead creatives and keep projects moving without delay
  • Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects), Powtoon, and remote collaboration tools (Google Drive, Notion, Slack)
  • Detail-oriented and operationally minded—you rely on systems, SOPs, and checklists to ensure excellence every time
  • Comfortable making judgment calls on quality: You know when a video is “good enough” and when it needs revision
  • Clear communicator with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Zero tolerance for missed deadlines or sloppy execution—you take full ownership of output

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with educational or professional development content
  • Experience with short-form vertical video workflows (YouTube Shorts, Reels, TikTok)
  • Experience training or onboarding editors and creatives into an existing video production pipeline
  • Knowledge of animation pipelines using tools like Vyond, Powtoon, or Adobe Animate

What You’ll Get

  • A high-impact role with direct access to the CEO and key leadership
  • Remote flexibility and autonomy, with clear structure and performance expectations
  • A chance to scale content that genuinely helps people—from premeds to physicians
  • Opportunities for growth into team leadership or operations roles as we scale
