Job Title: Accountant – Restaurant Industry

Location: Saudi Arabia (with branch visits across the Kingdom and Bahrain as needed)

Job Summary:

A leading company in the restaurant industry is seeking a well-organized and detail-oriented Accountant with a minimum of two years of experience, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant sector. The accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports, managing accounts, overseeing VAT and Zakat obligations, and supporting financial operations and strategic decision-making. Active membership in SOCPA (Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants) is required. The role also involves field visits to various branches across Saudi cities and Bahrain when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate general ledger and accounting records for all company branches.

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements: Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

• Perform bank reconciliations, oversee daily transactions, and ensure timely invoice processing.

• File VAT and Zakat returns in compliance with Saudi regulations.

• Support annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.

• Coordinate with operations teams at various branches to ensure proper financial data collection and cost control.

• Provide management with timely and accurate financial reports and insights for decision-making.

• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

• Continuously improve accounting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy.

• Conduct regular visits to branches across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain as necessary.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.

• Active membership in SOCPA (Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants).

• Solid knowledge of IFRS and Saudi accounting regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software; experience with Xero and Foodics is preferred.

• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.

• Strong knowledge of Saudi VAT and Zakat laws.

• High level of attention to detail and strong financial analysis skills.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

• Willingness to travel for branch visits as required.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Understanding of cost accounting and expense control in restaurant operations.

• Experience with financial consolidation across multiple branches.

• Ability to analyze food and inventory cost variances.

• Familiarity with POS system integrations and digital payment platforms.

• Knowledge of intercompany transactions and reconciliation procedures
