Workers’ Housing Supervisor Responsibilities – Accommodation Management, Safety, Resident Welfare

  • Housing Operations Management: Oversee day-to-day operations of worker housing facilities including room allocation, occupancy records, utility management, and maintenance scheduling to ensure comfortable, functional living spaces.

  • Health, Safety & Compliance: Implement and monitor compliance with local housing regulations, occupational health and safety standards, and company policies; coordinate regular inspections and remedial actions.

  • Maintenance & Facilities Coordination: Manage preventive and reactive maintenance activities for buildings, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, laundry, and common areas; prioritize repairs and engage contractors when required.

  • Resident Relations & Welfare: Serve as primary contact for resident concerns, mediate conflicts, promote respectful behavior, and coordinate welfare programs that support residents’ wellbeing and morale.

  • Security & Access Control: Oversee security arrangements, access procedures, and emergency response plans; liaise with security teams and local authorities as needed.

  • Vendor & Supplier Management: Source, evaluate, and manage service providers for cleaning, catering (if applicable), maintenance, and waste management while ensuring cost-effectiveness and service quality.

  • Recordkeeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of occupancy, maintenance, incidents, and expenditures; prepare regular operational reports and recommendations for improvements.

  • Budget Oversight & Cost Control: Assist in planning and monitoring the housing budget, control expenses, and recommend efficiencies or capital improvements to enhance living conditions and reduce costs.

  • Training & Team Leadership: Supervise housing staff, security, and housekeeping teams; provide training on safety, hospitality standards, and resident engagement; promote a culture of respect and inclusion.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve housing operations, introduce best practices, and implement technologies or processes that enhance safety, comfort, and operational efficiency.

Workers’ Housing Supervisor Requirements – Facilities, People Management, Regulatory Knowledge

  • Regulatory & Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with Saudi housing regulations, health & safety standards, fire safety, and emergency preparedness requirements.

  • Technical & Maintenance Understanding: Practical knowledge of building systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC) and experience coordinating maintenance and vendor services.

  • Leadership & Interpersonal Skills: Strong people management skills, conflict resolution abilities, and a resident-focused, culturally sensitive approach to working with diverse teams.

  • Organizational & Analytical: Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Communication: Proficient written and verbal communication in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus. Able to prepare clear reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • IT & Systems: Comfortable with facility management systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and basic digital tools for reporting and recordkeeping.
