Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake / Azure
A leading Investment Management firm in Qatar is building out a new Data & AI function, and they're looking for a Senior Data Engineer with excellent Azure and Snowflake experience to join on a permanent basis.
You'll sit alongside Data Scientists and Data Modellers, helping run and evolve their cloud Data Warehouse, laying the foundations for modern AI capabilities and playing a key role as the business goes through a major period of data transformation.
What you'll be doing:
- Building scalable, secure cloud data solutions to be leveraged across the organisation including Investment, Risk, Finance and Operational teams
- Managing and improving the cloud Data Warehouse (Azure, Snowflake)
- Designing and deploying data pipelines that support advanced analytics, Machine Learning, and GenAI development
- Acting as a go-to voice on tech strategy - helping the business adopt ML and GenAI capabilities effectively
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years in cloud data engineering with Azure, including hands-on experience building and maintaining cloud Data Warehouses
- 2+ years working with Snowflake (configuration, deployment, maintenance)
- Strong commercial Python experience (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, etc.)
- (Preferably) Exposure to relevant AI capabilities such as Snowflake Cortex AI and Azure AI Foundry
