We are looking for a skilled Network Administrator to maintain a reliable, secure, and efficient data communications network.
Do you consider yourself to be a creative/out-of-the-box thinker in an effort to raise the bar high in development? If yes, you might just be the right member we are looking for.
Your responsibilities:
Setup & Configuration: Install and integrate network software and hardware (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and VPNs).
Performance Tuning: Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
Scalability: Design and implement network growth plans to accommodate new development teams or larger office spaces.
Security Enforcement: Set up and maintain security measures (Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Endpoint Security, and Access Control Lists).
VPN Management: Maintain secure remote access (VPN) for developers working from home or from client sites.
Server Maintenance: Support DevOps teams in configuring internal staging servers and local repositories (GitLab/GitHub enterprise local instances).
Bandwidth Management: Prioritize traffic to ensure that large code pushes/pulls and video conferencing do not hinder each other.
Technical Support: Provide Level 2/3 support for network-related issues reported by employees.
Backups & Recovery: Maintain a disaster recovery plan for network configurations and critical data.
Updates: Perform routine patches and firmware updates outside of core development hours to minimize downtime.
Skill sets/Experience we require:
Experience: 1+ years of experience in network administration (ideally in an IT/Software service environment).
Technical Certifications: CCNA/CCNP (Cisco), MCSA/MCSE (Microsoft), or CompTIA Network+.
Hardware Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or Ubiquiti hardware.
Cloud Knowledge: Basic understanding of VPCs, Subnets, and Security Groups in AWS or Azure.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
