Job Title: OBDX Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Duration: 12 months with possibility of extension

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or Postgraduate
  • 10+ years’ experience in OBDX having Corporate Banking implementation
  • Subject Matter expertise and hands-on experience of OBDX
  • Should have worked on Product Designing and implementation with respect to Business requirements
  • Cross border team working experience
  • Knowledge of Banking domain is a must
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent Business Process Management Experience
  • Experience of working in large-scale transformation projects – involving process optimization and changes
  • Good verbal and written communication including ability to prepare system documentation
  • Ability to interpret solution documentation, identify areas of concern, and recommend approaches
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with multiple deadlines
  • Ability to communicate clearly with business users and Tech leads
  • Ability to innovate and provide functional applications with intuitive interfaces
  • Ability to complete all phases of software development life cycle including analysis, design, functionality, testing, and support
  • Working knowledge and experience in deploying and exposing APIs using API Connects

 

Key Result Areas

 

  • Subject Matter Expert of the OBDX; work in partnership with GTB Product Owners, Business Analyst, and other Technology teams
  • Domain knowledge of channel banking or similar banking platform
  • Should be able to understand business requirements and translate them to vendor-specific documents
  • Should be able to set up, manage, and validate build from vendor
  • Active engagement with the entire product organization with consideration to business drivers, anticipate roadblocks, encourage contributions from the entire QA, and quickly address concerns
  • Perform deployments, measure impacts, gather issues information, and coordinate with vendor on issues resolution
  • Analyze system issues, participate in root cause analysis, and take part in issue prioritization decisions
  • Support SIT, regressions, performance tuning, and integrations – strategy, scenarios, and cases
  • Perform impact assessments of change requests on implemented product and facilitate production deployments
  • Support business and operations through various testing cycles and work as per defined SLA with vendor
  • Manage and track OBDX system performance; participate technically and functionally in process optimization
  • Ensure technology projects have approvals from ISG, Technology Architecture, hardware sizing, and meet all audit controls
  • Coordinate product training for business and operations users

 

Job Purpose

 

Mashreq has undertaken implementation of Oracle Platform OBDX to GCC countries and other international banking locations.

 

This job is being created to support this expansion and to reinforce the subject matter expertise of the new Oracle OBDX platform within the bank. The person in the role will act as the Techno-Functional Expert and System Analyst, handling interactions and dependencies with other bank systems and country applications/networks.

 

The Technical Analyst will have a range of responsibilities from analyzing technical requirements, understanding the infrastructure, and performing product deployments to ensuring that the bank stays on the leading edge of technology. The Technical Analyst will be expected to contribute across the full technology stack, front to back for the platform.

 

As a Technical Analyst, the individual will interact with a cross-functional team and with the Product Owner, Designers, and Engineers.
