Job Summary
The AC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems across residential and commercial properties managed by the real estate company. This role ensures optimal climate control, energy efficiency, and tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation
- Install new AC units according to design specifications and safety standards.
- Set up ductwork, piping, and electrical connections.
- Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems.
- Clean filters, coils, and fans to ensure efficiency.
- Monitor refrigerant levels and recharge systems when necessary.
- Repairs & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in AC units.
- Repair or replace defective parts such as compressors, motors, and thermostats.
- Respond promptly to tenant service requests and emergencies.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
- Report recurring issues to supervisors for long-term solutions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Customer Service
- Communicate effectively with tenants and property managers.
- Provide guidance on proper AC usage and energy-saving practices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as an AC Technician or HVAC specialist.
- Certification or diploma in HVAC, refrigeration, or related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of AC systems (split, central, VRF).
- Ability to read technical diagrams and manuals.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Physical fitness to handle equipment and work in varied environments.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
