Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
· Oversee preparation and finalization of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual).
· Ensure timely and accurate closing of books of accounts.
· Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial planning.
· Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
· Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
· Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
· Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS) and statutory requirements.
Compliance & Statutory Requirements
- Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Income Tax, and other statutory obligations.
- Monitor compliance with accounting standards and statutory guidelines.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax auditors, and consultants.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare and monitor annual budgets in coordination with management.
- Analyze financial variances and recommend cost optimization measures.
- Provide financial insights to support business strategy and decision-making.
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Provide periodic MIS reports to management for decision-making.
- Monitor working capital, cash flow, and fund management.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise, mentor, and guide the accounts’ team.
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure team productivity.
- Develop the team’s knowledge in accounting and compliance practices.
- Conduct training and development sessions for team members.
Process & System Improvements
- Implement and maintain effective internal financial controls.
- Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and audit trails.
- Drive process improvements in accounting operations and software systems.
- Support management in financial planning and cost control.
- Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and government authorities.
- Participate in process improvements and implementation of accounting systems (ERP/SAP/Tally).
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and corporate taxation.
- Expertise in statutory compliances (GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial analysis.
- Leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- Professional qualification (CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) highly desirable.
- 8–12 years of accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, trading, or FMCG industry preferred.
