Account Manager

About The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will cover a diverse product portfolio of clinical solutions for hospitals and a global medical education portfolio for medical universities and nursing schools, specifically for Egypt


Key Responsibilities:

  • Renewal Management: Take ownership of the end-to-end renewal process for our clinical solutions and medical education products, including managing tenders and national licenses, ensuring timely contract renewals and maximizing customer satisfaction.
  • Account Growth: Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts by understanding customer needs and aligning our solutions with their strategic objectives, in close collaboration with new sales account managers.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in hospitals and educational institutions across the Egypt, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure alignment with their business goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, customer support, and customer success teams within a matrix organization to enhance the customer experience and drive product improvements based on feedback and insights.
  • Account Reviews and Reporting: Collaborate with customer success teams to conduct regular reviews that assess customer satisfaction and usage, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
  • Hands On Customer Training : Support customer training and orientation on national level by building training tours to Universities and Hospitals to ensure full utilization of Elsevier Solutions


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Pharmaceutical, Nursing or a related field (advanced degrees are a plus).
  • 3+ years of proven experience as an Account Manager preferably within the healthcare or education sectors within multinational organizations
  • Proven track record of managing a product portfolio, particularly in clinical solutions and medical education, including experience with tenders and framework agreements.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn solutions selling methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Franklin Covey, or Miller-Heiman.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a record of meeting or exceeding renewal and growth targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with senior-level executives.
  • Strategic thinker with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) for account management and reporting.
  • Willingness to travel periodically within the territory where needed (approximately 50%).
