Account Manager

Exciting opportunity for a licensed insurance professional to provide customized insurance solutions and manage portfolios for our valued personal and commercial lines clients. The Account Manager will have extensive knowledge of available markets and underwriting guidelines for placement of client's risks. He or she manages the full life cycle of insurance with a focus on developing and retaining client relationships.

Salary Range: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Annual Base Salary Based on Experience

This is an in-office position, located at our Sylvan Lake, Michigan agency. Qualified applicants must be licensed in property and casualty or be willing to obtain license quickly; have at least two years' experience servicing in an insurance agency environment; have working knowledge of office operations and personal lines insurance products; must also have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Should have clean and professional office etiquette.

Essential Functions:

• Provide outstanding service to clients by evaluating and discussing premium bearing endorsements in detail. Assisting with policy changes, customer inquiries, payment handling, document filing.
  

• Promote and write personal lines insurance policies to inbound prospective clients.
  

• Inform clients about insurance policy terms, conditions, insurance coverage gaps and risk management issues. Discuss life events and material changes that affect underwriting, surcharges & discounts.
  

• Maintain customer accounts in agency management system, documenting conversations in activity log, sending confirmations to insureds and adhering to all other automation procedures.
  

• Create and maintain good working relationships with clients, insurance company underwriters, sales, marketing & claims representatives.
  

• Perform all duties relating to customers and companies in a manner that will avoid issues involving potential errors and omissions.
