Account Supervisor

As a Fact & Fiction Account Supervisor, you are a proactive problem-solver and advocate for our clients’ business who builds relationships and owns outcomes. You collaborate seamlessly with our creative and production teams to ensure every project is executed with excellence and delivered on-time and on-budget. You are highly independent and highly organized because it’s who you are. You can motivate a team and lead with both initiative and empathy. You love collaboration and know how to balance what’s best for the client with what’s best for the work. Ultimately, you’re the glue that keeps business, relationships and outcomes connected, and you take incredible pride in the collective impact we make for our clients. Here at Fact & Fiction, you’ll have the opportunity to work with wildly talented individuals who give a damn.

We are open to candidates within commuting distance to Kansas City or Boulder, excited about collaborating in person two days per week in a hybrid working environment. We are not open to 100% remote candidates.

Can do this

  • Lead day-to-day operations and communications for your accounts, fostering relationships directly with senior-level clients and F&F leadership
  • Lead client meetings including presentations and weekly status. Set agendas, steer discussions, and deliver same-day recaps with clear action steps, owners, and timing
  • Elevate your thinking above the day-to-day minutiae to ensure we are leading clients to a path of success, not merely executing the task at hand. Collaborate with creative and production teams to ensure timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met
  • Partner with senior creative team members to strategically drive and sell through great work, preparing and presenting polished materials for client meetings
  • Meet regularly with key clients to build deep relationships and understanding of their business. Identify their needs, industry dynamics, and competition — and care about them as if they were your own
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration across creative, strategy, media, and production teams. Lead productions and shoots including preparation, on-set management, and post-production
  • Draft scope documents and proactively identify opportunities for account growth and new business development. Monitor for scope creep and manage the situation directly with clients
  • Prepare billing and monthly financial projections in partnership with your manager, owning budget reconciliation for your accounts
  • Identify and pursue organic growth opportunities and new business development within existing client relationships, developing and presenting proposals
  • Lead the development of brand strategy by driving planning discussions, directing background research, and bringing a prepared, outcome-based point of view
  • Navigate ambiguity with composure and authority — make decisions, resolve conflicts, and bring solutions. When things are scary to a client, empathize and figure out how to help
  • Foster growth and provide guidance among direct reports on the account team. Anticipate next steps across your accounts and keep the team a step ahead
  • Enforce version control, organized drive management, and rigorous quality standards across your team. You are the first and last line of defense on deliverables

Must haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Advertising, Communications, Marketing, or equivalent professional experience
  • 6+ years of experience in advertising, with a track record of managing client relationships and growing accounts
  • Comfort with a hybrid work model (in-office two days per week in Boulder or Kansas City)
  • Willingness to travel (up to 15%)
  • Content and production experience required
  • An exceptional work ethic and bias toward action. You adapt your approach based on how different teammates and clients work best

What sets you apart

  • Strong organizational and project management skills. You hold the standard for your team and earn the confidence of everyone around you
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, both internally and client-facing, with the desire and courage to have an outcome-based POV
  • Proven experience leading client engagements and working closely with creative and production resources in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive, problem-solving demeanor. You see around corners, bring answers, and make the people around you better
  • Collaborative by nature, but highly independent. You give and receive constructive feedback with empathy and directness
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Asana, Monday, Basecamp, or similar)
  • Eagerness to mentor junior team members and develop the next generation of account talent
  • Genuine curiosity about brands, culture, and what makes people pay attention. You are a relationship builder at your core
  • A connector mindset — you instinctively pull the right people into the room, rally teams around a shared vision, and know how to sell through great work
