Key Responsibilities
- Finalize financial accounts by preparing profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accurate postings in the general ledger.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Review and post journal entries, including depreciation and intercompany reconciliations.
- Assist with audit schedules and liaise with auditors.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, IAS).
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures manuals.
- Process day-to-day accounting entries (e.g., bank vouchers, invoices).
- Manage fixed asset accounts and schedules.
- Ensure accuracy in reporting and adherence to deadlines.
- Participate in budgeting and operational plan preparations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Part Qualified ICMA, ACCA, or CA preferred. CA Article ship completed will be preferred.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, or Tally.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and audit processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
