1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts and financial records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure financial reports comply with international accounting standards and company policies.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare management reports to support business decisions.

2. Accounts Payable Management

  • Review and verify supplier invoices for accuracy and proper approval.
  • Process vendor payments and ensure payments are made within agreed terms.
  • Maintain supplier records and reconcile vendor statements.
  • Monitor outstanding liabilities and manage payment schedules.

3. Accounts Receivable Management

  • Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on time.
  • Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Perform customer account reconciliations and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Prepare aging reports and assist management in improving collection processes.

4. Bank Reconciliation & Cash Management

  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Monitor company cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure proper recording of bank transactions, transfers, and payments.
  • Maintain relationships with banking institutions when required.

5. Budgeting & Financial Planning

  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual expenses and revenues against budgets.
  • Provide variance analysis and recommendations to management.
  • Support financial planning and cost control initiatives.

6. Taxation & Compliance

  • Prepare and submit tax filings and VAT returns in compliance with local regulations.
  • Maintain proper tax documentation and supporting records.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Assist during tax audits and regulatory inspections.

7. Audit Support

  • Prepare required documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure financial transactions are properly documented and supported.
  • Implement internal controls to improve financial accuracy and reduce risk.
  • Respond to audit findings and assist in implementing corrective actions.

8. Financial Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain accounting data within financial systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle Financials, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ensure financial data integrity and accuracy within accounting systems.
  • Assist in improving accounting processes through automation and system optimization.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and reporting standards.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
  • Good communication skills for interaction with management, auditors, and clients.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional accounting certifications are highly desirable, such as:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

Experience Requirements

  • Typically 2–5+ years of accounting experience depending on the level of the role.
  • Experience in financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit support.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting software.
