Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and post daily financial transactions in the accounting system accurately.
  • Handle and reconcile petty cash transactions and maintain proper documentation.
  • Prepare and review VAT calculations and submissions in compliance with Omani tax regulations.
  • Maintain accounts payable and receivable records and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Assist in monthly closing activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of financial records for audit purposes.
  • Support the finance team with budget tracking and expense monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Key Skills:

  • Handling petty cash
  • VAT preparation and reporting
  • Posting transactions in the accounting system

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to Muscat every alternate week for reporting and coordination purposes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to accuracy and deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RO400.000 - RO450.000 per month
