Accountant

Are you a motivated professional with a passion for accounting and tax work? We are a West Bend CPA firm dedicated to the financial success of our clients with 41 years of excellence in the industry and we are seeking two exceptional accountants to enhance our dynamic team. One person is needed full time. One person part time, year round, with more hours during the months of January through April.

A Summary of Our Mission:

Our firm mission is to help our clients reduce their tax obligation to the lowest legal amount possible so they can keep as much of their hard earned income as possible and save it or spend it as they see fit.

The starting point for us being successful in our mission for businesses clients is accurate business accounting followed by the preparation of the business tax return taking advantage of ALL LEGAL tax deductions and tax credits.

Our starting point with individual tax returns is meeting our clients and discussing the details of their finances. Then we prepare their tax returns using the information we collected and leave no stone, no tax deduction or any tax credit unturned to minimize their tax obligation. Finally we give them suggestions to reduce taxes in future years.

Fulfilling this mission takes experience and a deep desire to help our clients.

Key Responsibilities of these positions:

• Accounting for small businesses
• Prepare income tax returns for both individuals and businesses
• Payroll preparation and payroll report preparation
• Manage client accounts and maintain our high standard of service
• Assist in providing financial advice and solutions to our clients
• Assist in tax planning and compliance for a diverse client base

Requirements:

• Understanding of, and complete willingness to adhere to, our mission as summarized above
• A degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 2 years of experience preferably in a public accounting firm
• Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
• A strong desire to continue to learn and stay current with changes in the accounting world, especially tax law changes
