We’re looking for an Accountant to join our growing team and play a key role in supporting our organization’s financial operations. Under the direction of the Accountant and Chairman, the Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports and statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting additional financial and administrative needs as requested.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable, ensuring invoices are accurately recorded and paid in a timely manner for multiple entities
  • Coordinate with management regarding invoice approval and accuracy
  • Process payroll for various entities, including vouching, check printing, check stamping, and preparing positive pay files with banking institutions
  • Prepare and post general ledger entries; reconcile accounts
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Maintain vendor files, corporate records, and office supply inventory
  • Communicate effectively with management, other offices, and outside tax accountants
  • Perform additional tasks and special projects as directed by the Chairman

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Intuit QuickBooks
  • Experience with Paychex and/or ADP payroll platforms preferred
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Real estate accounting experience is a plus
