Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and drive profitability across our fashion and perfume retail business. The role involves managing retail accounting, inventory control, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

* Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

* Monitor cash flow, working capital, and profitability across stores

* Ensure accurate revenue recognition for retail sales (POS systems)

* Handle multi-branch accounting and consolidation

Retail & Inventory Accounting

* Manage inventory accounting for fashion items and perfumes

* Track stock movement, shrinkage, and obsolescence

* Coordinate with supply chain for stock valuation and cost control

* Implement inventory control procedures (FIFO / weighted average)

Compliance & Taxation

* Ensure compliance with local tax laws (VAT/GST) in regions like Oman or GCC

* Prepare and file tax returns

* Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities

* Maintain proper documentation for audits

Budgeting & Financial Planning

* Develop annual budgets and forecasts

* Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions

* Support pricing strategies and margin optimization (especially for perfumes & luxury items)

Internal Controls & Audit

* Strengthen internal controls across retail stores

* Conduct periodic internal audits (cash handling, stock checks)

* Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies

ERP & Systems

* Work with ERP/POS systems for retail accounting

* Ensure data integrity between sales, inventory, and finance modules

Pay: From RO300.000 per month
