Accountant (Furniture & Interior Design Company)

Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The role plays a critical part in supporting financial planning, inventory valuation, and cost analysis for the furniture and interior design business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Track and reconcile inventory costs related to furniture production and procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax filings (VAT, corporate tax, etc.).
  • Work closely with project managers and procurement to track project costs and profitability.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Implement and maintain accounting controls and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent certification (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, design, or interior industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
  • High proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Pay: From QAR4,000.00 per month
