The Kind of Work You'll be Doing:

• Record financial transactions in accounting software.
• Maintain accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely payments, internal processing of payments, and tracking outstanding balances.
• Reconcile bank statements with internal financial records to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues in a timely manner consistent with the internal reconciliation policy.
• Reconcile cash disbursement accounts and other general ledger accounts.
• Assist in maintaining the general ledger by organizing and classifying financial transactions, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.
• Assist during internal or external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial transactions.
• Conduct basic financial analysis to assess financial performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records, invoices, receipts, and other relevant documents.
• Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP.
• Record the cost of newly acquired fixed assets, calculate depreciation, perform accounting for disposition of fixed assets and fixed assets retirement.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual fixed assets related analysis and produce ad hoc reports.
• Prepare audit schedules for fixed assets and assist auditors with inquiries.
• Communicate financial information to non-financial users, including communicating with other departments or teams.

Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 1 year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
