Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant / Title Clerk to join our San Francisco Exotic Cars team. This dual-role position is responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and handling vehicle titles and registrations. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting and title processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management.
- Process and track dealership expenses, vendor payments, and employee reimbursements.
- Assist with tax preparation, audits, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Work closely with the Controller and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Title Clerk Responsibilities:
- Process vehicle titles and registrations efficiently and accurately.
- Verify all required paperwork for title transfers, lien releases, and vehicle sales.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal title laws and dealership policies.
- Work with banks, finance companies, and the DMV to resolve title issues.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date title records and documentation.
- Assist customers and dealership staff with title-related inquiries.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of accounting and/or title clerk experience, preferably in an automotive dealership.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and dealership management systems (DMS) (preferably Reynolds and Reynolds).
- Knowledge: Understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and DMV title processes.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accuracy in financial records and title documentation.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Organization & Time Management: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines efficiently.
