Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Officer to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, hands-on experience with accounting software, and the ability to handle multiple financial tasks efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and documentation
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and vouchers
- Manage accounts payable and receivable activities
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in monthly and annual financial closing processes
- Monitor outstanding receivables and ensure timely collections
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulations
- Support audits by providing required financial data and reports
- Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and suggest improvements
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, reporting, data analysis)
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
- Hands-on experience with:
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Bank Reconciliations
- Financial record maintenance
- Invoice and payment processing
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
- Good organizational and communication skills
