Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist will process invoices and check requests, administer the accounts payable system, and support the Accounts Payable team to ensure invoices are paid accurately and on time.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will:

• Run and analyze AP reports. Follow up and communicate outstanding expenses, invoices, approvals, and contracts on a routine basis.
• Serve as secondary administrator of the accounts payable system. This includes monitoring approvals, adding/deleting new codes, and troubleshooting user issues with expense reports or travel booking.
• Reviews, follows up and communicates outstanding employee cash advances monthly.
• Prepares check requests for rent payments monthly.
• Serves as backup to process check runs, including electronic payments as well as manual checks.
• Enters AP invoices daily with accuracy as well and matches invoice activity with active contracts in the contract management system.
• Assists with audit support, as needed.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or similar industries.
• Computer savvy, strong MS Excel skills and good MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access).
• Experience with accounting and report writing software.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable processes.
• Knowledge of MS Business Central accounting software, Jet Reporting, Concur, Adaptive Insights, Cornerstone, Cvent, Salesforce.com, Pay Pal and/or MS SharePoint is a plus.
• Ability to learn and master other computer technologies/software programs as needed.
• Must have experience managing deadlines and performing under tight time constraints.
• Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to process, protect and exercise discretion in handling confidential information and materials.
• Deep commitment to and experience in advancing diversity and inclusion into organizational routines and practice is required.
• Effectively establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and gain their trust and respect.
• Comfort and experience in handling risk and uncertainty to move work forward.

Base Annual Salary: $52,000 - $60,000

As of the time of this posting, this is the expected base annual salary range. The base annual salary will be based on a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, as well as business needs and limitations.
