Administrative Assistant

LHH has partnered with a great firm who is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the Operations Manager and contribute to the smooth functioning of firm operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong administrative background and legal experience who is eager to grow into a dynamic operations support position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting coordination and onboarding tasks.
  • Support payroll processes, including timecard corrections, PTO tracking, and holiday/pay period setup.
  • Handle tax notices and state compliance documentation.
  • Plan firm events and employee engagement activities.
  • Provide accounting and bookkeeping support, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Maintain organized files and update training calendars and repositories.
  • Assist with employee handbook updates and departmental reporting.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as the role evolves with firm needs.

Qualifications

  • Prior administrative experience required; legal background strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills and proactive problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
  • Demonstrated reliability and career longevity.

Role Details

  • Administrative Assistant – Hybrid Schedule
  • Location: Emeryville, CA
  • Type: Direct Hire
  • Schedule: Hybrid (3 days remote, 2 days onsite)
  • Compensation: $60,000 - $100,000, DOE
  • 13 paid holidays + 2 half days annually
  • PTO: 15 days in year one; 20 days after year two
  • Monthly stipends: Phone/Internet/Wellness
