Administrative Assistant

Job Summary

We are seeking a helpful administrative assistant who is comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and working with police and military, positive, flexible, have a can-do attitude, willingness to tackle any task, the ability to multi-task, be highly organized. You will be exposed to every department of the business: shipping, factory floor, marketing, finance, legal, HR, operations, purchasing, international sales. This position involves everything from helping in Shipping to moving equipment. Please note that there is a physical aspect to this position.

Hourly position. 40 hours / week; rarely weekends, Start at $25.00/ hour but compensation is based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage facilities.
  • Assist with every department, including Shipping and Factory Floor.
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, etc.
  • Pick up mail every day at post office.
  • Assist all departments of manufacturing company with varies aspects of their responsibilities.
  • Cross-train in various positions in other departments to provide backup and support when needed.
  • Conduct research for sales and other departments.
  • Purchasing office supplies and managing office maintenance.
  • Build boxes, if requested.
  • Work with Finance in AP in printing checks, and others tasks.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years Experience in manufacturing or similar industry is preferred.
  • Comfortable in old school manufacturing environment.
  • Willing to handle any task-no matter how small.
  • Technology savvy, can-do attitude and approach.
  • Problem solving and proactive decision-making.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Suite and Excel.
  • Quick learner who grasps concepts and processes quickly and intuitively.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, be a team player and get along well with other employees.
  • Manage time, workflow, and priorities to accomplish goals.
  • Easily adjust to new and changing situations and business needs.
  • Highly organized, customer oriented; and Extremely positive attitude.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
