Administrative Assistant

Gardner Watson Decking, Inc. full-service metal decking installation company is currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Administrative Assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate should have an upbeat and great outlook on life, excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to organize their work using tools like MS Office applications as well as office equipment. If you have previous experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant and familiarity with our industry, we’d like to meet you.

Duties of the Administrative Assistant include providing support to our Project Managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company’s general administrative activities

Administrative Assistant responsibilities also include:

  • Answering and directing phone calls, updating project list and data entry.
  • Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Maintain contact lists
  • Expense reports
  • Processing payments
  • Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place

Skills

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel; PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of workers compensation, general liability
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

This is a Full-time position Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.30pm
