Administrative Assistant

Nature of Work
To provide highly specialized and responsible administrative and clerical assistance and complete assignments requiring independent judgment for the President. Requires tact, diplomacy, and the ability to respect and maintain confidence.

Examples of Work Performed
Essential Duties:
1. Coordinate and plan official activities and meetings
2. Process all office details not requiring the President’s action
3. Perform routine office and clerical tasks and related tasks as assigned by the President
4. Research, organize, and prepare special reports as requested, including recording and organizing necessary materials and information needed to compile the President’s Board Report and other board and subcommittee reports
5. Attend and record administrative cabinet meetings
6. Act as content manager for assigned websites.

Secondary Duties:
1. Arrange necessary travel and motel accommodations for the President, CSC delegation attending Board of Trustees meetings, and visiting dignitaries
2. Represent the President and Cabinets Officers at meetings as assigned
3. Assist with various surveys, reports, and informational data
4. Assist in development of college policies, procedures, and programs
5. Other duties as assigned by the President

Required Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years of related administrative experience

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
