Job Summary


The Administrative Assistant I will provide non-routine clerical and administrative support which may include managing, scheduling, maintaining student records, handling communications, organizing events, data entry, report preparation, compliance monitoring, and administrative tasks


Essential Functions

  • Copying, scanning, faxing, printing, filing, organizing.
  • Take phone calls, assist visitors, compose e-mails and other written communication.
  • Assist in compiling and maintaining documents for various reporting events.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and follow-ups.
  • Maintain and organize student records.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents.
  • Enter and update student data in the PEIMS system.
  • Verify and validate data for accuracy.
  • Generate and prepare compliance and internal reports.
  • Assist in submitting required reports to educational authorities.
  • Help monitor compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Organize and maintain PEIMS-related files and documentation.
  • Assist with event preparations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Two (2) Years of related work experience.
  • May accept combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in field closely related to the specific endeavor of the department.
  • One (1) or more years of clerical experience.
  • Experience with Skyward and Excel.
  • Database experience.

Additional Information

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
