Administrative Coordinator

Family Care Network, Inc. (FCNI) is a mission-driven nonprofit serving children, youth, adults, and families across San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties. Our team works collaboratively with local county and community-based agencies to provide compassionate, trauma-informed services; including evidence-based mental health treatment, case management, housing and homelessness support, and family-based interventions across Child Welfare, Behavioral Health, and Juvenile Justice systems of care—as well as support for individuals and families experiencing complex challenges who fall outside of these social services.

We are currently looking to add a new member to our dynamic team for an Administrative Coordinator in our Foster Care department. The Administrative Coordinator supports the effective functioning of programs within the organization. This position involves providing administrative and clerical support to program managers and staff, ensuring efficient operations, as well as assisting with the management of various administrative tasks, such as client enrollments, compliance monitoring, maintaining records, and preparing reports.


LOCATION: In-office requirement, San Luis Obispo Main Office

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

ANTICIPATED START DATE: May 11, 2026


COMPENSATION

  • Pay Range: $22.60 - $33.90 per hour
  • Full Time, Non-Exempt classification per FLSA

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, associate degree preferred

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing administrative support.

  • Must be computer literate with high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, such as Excel and knowledge of database and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
  • Excellent time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with sensitive information

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as a point of contact for program inquiries via email and phone calls.
  • Coordinate program communication and correspondence-both internally and externally, ensuring timely and accurate dissemination of information.
  • Prepare and distribute program related materials and reports—both internally and to external contractual partners.
  • Participate in meetings, committees, and workgroups related to program activities, providing administrative support and assistance as needed.
  • Manage program records and databases, including program referrals, enrollments, and any movement changes. Ensure that all required documents are accurate, complete, and in compliance with agency requirements.
  • Perform scheduled compliance audits to ensure accuracy of records and support program staff with adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • May assist with budget management and financial tracking for program activities, including accuracy of program enrollments, processing invoices, and expense reports.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve program operations.
  • As needed, serve as support and/or back-up for other agency administrative functions or duties, i.e. front desk coverage, distribution of mail, etc.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
