If you answered “yes” to these questions, then the full-time, non-exempt position of Administrative Coordinator at the Des Plaines Public Library is for you!

ANNUAL SALARY RANGE $41,925 - $60,450 DOQ

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, 37.5 hours per week

DUTIES:

  • Understands and carries out the Library’s policies and procedures.
  • Provides clerical and organizational support for library administration.
  • Serves as receptionist for public and staff.
  • Serves as a FOIA Officer.
  • Maintains library records.
  • Assists with the administrative tasks associated with Library bids and requests for proposal.
  • Monitors and maintains appropriate inventory levels of administrative office supplies.
  • Prepares correspondence, reports, documents, and memos.
  • Collects copier and debit card dispenser money.
  • Coordinates all aspects of All-Staff meetings and makes travel arrangements to library conferences for staff.
  • Assists in the preparation of the monthly Board of Trustees packet, and other Board-related administrative tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years of college.
  • Five years of office experience.
  • Available to work occasional evenings and weekends.
