Good Karma Brands (Good Karma) is seeking an AI-Forward Multimedia Journalist to join our team in Beaver Dam, WI, leading the news coverage of Daily Dodge and WBEV. This role supports hyper-local news coverage across digital, audio, and social platforms, with Daily Dodge serving as the primary content hub.

This role is designed for an innovator who is looking to commit to being a responsible journalist while leaning into all that Artificial Intelligence can do to supplement human work. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong curiosity, accountability, and will design new workflows using AI to support research, news creation, and multi-platform storytelling that will drive a high quantity of content while maintaining high standards for accuracy and credibility.

A successful teammate in this role can be a catalyst of change for how news is presented at Daily Dodge and will also impact the future of how news is gathered and presented at Good Karma Brands.

What you’ll do as an AI-Forward Multimedia Journalist

• Lead creation of hyper-local news content, including government, schools, public safety, and community stories
• Attend meetings, conduct interviews, build sources, and verify information to ensure accurate and credible reporting
• Research, write, and publish news content for Daily Dodge, WBEV, and social platforms using AI-assisted workflows to improve speed, depth, accuracy
• Create and distribute short-form video and audio content, using AI tools to support scripting, editing, and multi-platform adaptation
• Adapt stories into multiple formats (text, video, audio, social) to expand reach and audience engagement
• Use AI tools to monitor incoming information, identify trends, and surface story opportunities
• Apply editorial judgment to review and validate AI-assisted content, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and trust
• Learn and apply new tools and workflows to improve efficiency and storytelling
• Monitor news tips, scanners, and emerging stories to support timely coverage
• Collaborate with teammates on community and sponsored content while maintaining clear editorial standards
• Represent Daily Dodge and GKB at community events, interviews, and on-site coverage
• Other assigned tasks as needed

• Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment without sacrificing accuracy
• Self-starter mindset with strong accountability and follow-through
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teammates and departments
• With this career, you are required to hold a valid driver’s license

Hours/Salary/Benefits

This is a non-exempt role with a competitive base salary and overtime eligible for hours worked over 40 per week. This role is eligible for full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, 401(k) Plan, Dependent Care, paid parental leave, and more with opportunities for salary growth increase with skills and responsibilities and meeting targeted goals. The position will be required to work some evenings and weekends.
