The Role
We are looking for a talented and experienced AI/ML Engineer with 3-6 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in machine learning and deep learning, with a proven track record of developing and deploying models for voice and image-based applications. In this role, you will be a key contributor, responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our AI models, from research and development to production and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable and robust machine learning models for computer vision (e.g., object detection, image classification, segmentation) and speech/audio processing (e.g., ASR, speech enhancement, speaker recognition).
- Conduct research and implement state-of-the-art algorithms and frameworks to improve model performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and software engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Manage the data pipeline, including data collection, cleaning, annotation, and preprocessing for both voice and image datasets.
- Optimize and fine-tune existing models for performance, latency, and resource efficiency.
- Develop and maintain the MLOps pipeline, ensuring seamless integration of models into production environments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and relevant technologies.
- Contribute to the technical vision and strategy of the AI team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
- 3-6 years of hands-on professional experience as an AI/ML Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with core data science libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
- Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
- Demonstrable experience in building and deploying models for Computer Vision using techniques like CNNs, R-CNNs, YOLO, and frameworks like OpenCV.
- Demonstrable experience in building and deploying models for Speech/Audio Processing using techniques like RNNs, LSTMs, Transformers, and libraries like torchaudio, librosa, or similar.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker).
- Knowledge of MLOps practices, including model serving, monitoring, and pipeline automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with real-time or low-latency AI applications.
- Knowledge of generative AI models (e.g., GANs, Transformers) for voice or image synthesis.
- Experience with edge AI and model optimization for mobile or embedded devices.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Prior experience in a startup environment.
What We Offer
