Apparel Technical Designer – Your Job Duties:
You will work on a small but mighty team, bringing apparel concepts to life, ensuring fit, quality, and consistency across menswear and womenswear collections.
You will:
Product Development & Technical Execution

Translate design concepts into accurate tech packs, specs, and grading, applying expert patternmaking and garment construction knowledge.
- Apply a “right-first-time” approach to fit and product engineering, driving accuracy and reduced iterations

Build, maintain, and evolve fit blocks, grading standards, and technical libraries

Serve as a subject matter expert in menswear, womenswear, knits, and wovens
Fit Process & Fittings

Lead fittings on mannequins and live models, demonstrating product transformations

Guide discussions and influence stakeholders to achieve design and fit alignment

Act as a controller of standards, continuously refining specs, fit, and quality
Collaboration & Vendor Management

Partner closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and factories to deliver on-time production, & Manage calendars, WIPs, and timelines to meet key milestones.

Manage multiple seasons simultaneously, staying highly organized, nimble, and disciplined
- Participate in vendor visits and international travel as needed
Innovation & Leadership

Apparel Technical Designer – Required Skills, Experience & Personality Fit – You Have:
- Deep expertise in garment construction, fit, and patternmaking (Gerber Accumark patternmaking experience required)

Strong technical knowledge across menswear and womenswear knits and wovens, developing blocks, adjusting patterns, and providing consistency across products.

Experience creating detailed tech packs, specifications, and grading for diverse product categories

Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite, PLM systems

Ability to evaluate and adjust fit blocks, grading, and specs to maintain consistency

Strong project management skills with the ability to lead through influence and provide timely solutions

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or related field
Apparel Technical Designer – You Might Have:
- Experience with Centric PLM system
- Experience with Clo3D development tool
Apparel Technical Designer - Compensation, Benefits, and Perks – For You:
- Base salary starting range is $65,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience
