Summary: As an Application Support Engineer, you will act as software detectives, providing a dynamic service that identifies and resolves issues within various components of critical business systems. Your typical day will involve collaborating with team members to troubleshoot problems, analyzing system performance, and ensuring that all applications run smoothly to support business operations effectively. You will engage with different teams to gather insights and feedback, contributing to the continuous improvement of the systems in place. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to be an SME. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team capabilities. - Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues. - Engage in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices. - Should know how to gather SRE requirement from Tech and non-tech aspect from customer. - Should be able to work on rotational shifts. - Must have experience in Production Application Support of OMS - Must have knowledge in ITIL framework specifically on Alerts, Incident, change management, CAB, Production deployments, Risk and mitigation plan, SLA, SLI -Must have triage and analytical skill and Should be able to handle P1/P2 bridge calls, brief about the P1/P2 to client, proactive in gathering details till RCA. - Must know how to work with the Dev team, cross functional teams across time zones. - Must know how retail platforms upstream and downstream integrations work with various tracks such as dot com, warehouse management, stores etc. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in IBM Sterling Commerce. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with application integration techniques. - Strong understanding of software development life cycle methodologies. - Familiarity with database management systems and SQL. - Experience in troubleshooting and debugging applications - Must have skills in any of the automation languages like Python, shell, Java to automate periodic OMS related task/SRE task. - Hands on experience in Monitoring, Logging, Alerting, Dashboarding, and report generation in any monitoring tools such as Splunk/Dynatrace/kibana. - Should have knowledge on building and executing SOP, runbooks, handling any ITSM platforms (JIRA/ServiceNow) - Experience with system integration and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with application support best practices. - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in IBM Sterling Commerce. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
