Architectural Technologist

Architectural technologist, Senior Architectural technologist, and Lead Architectural technologist for
an international award winning creative design firm.
This role is responsible for delivering architectural projects from concept through completion while ensuring design quality, technical excellence, and timely delivery of all project outputs.
Role Overview
You will support and lead projects through all design stages, coordinating consultants, managing documentation, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and maintaining high technical and operational standards.
You will work closely with project teams, clients, and authorities to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Design

Support and lead design development from concept to completion.

Ensure projects meet client brief, functional requirements, and design intent.

Prepare and review technical drawings, detailing, and specifications.

Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, building codes, and design standards.

Coordinate architectural design with sub-consultants and contractors.

Assist in selecting materials and construction systems aligned with design objectives.
Documentation & Coordination

Manage issuance of drawings, specifications, and project documentation.

Maintain accurate drawing registers, issue records, and project files.
-
Prepare formal submissions and coordinate local authority approvals.
-
Chair coordination meetings, record minutes, and track actions.

Ensure consultant deliverables align with project programmes and milestones.
Quality & Project Management

Monitor project progress, resources, and delivery timelines.
-
Maintain quality standards and technical consistency across projects.

Identify risks or delays early and implement recovery plans.
-
Support overall project management alongside the Lead Architect.

Ensure proper handover to post-contract/site teams and review shop drawings where required.
Team Leadership & Communication

Communicate project requirements clearly to internal teams and senior management.

Support, mentor, and guide architects and Job Captains.

Participate in technical reviews and contribute to improving office standards and efficiencies.

Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and authorities.
Requirements
-
Minimum
6+ years’ experience
in an architectural practice.
-
Degree in Architecture from a recognised international university.
-
CIAT registration preferred.
-
Strong proficiency in
AutoCAD
and
Revit
.
-
Self-motivated, organised, and adaptable team player.
