Asset Controller

SALARY: AED 4,000

Job Purpose:

The job purpose is to oversee and manage the financial and operational aspects of a company's assets. This role involves tracking, documenting, and ensuring the proper utilization of assets to safeguard against loss, theft, or misuse. This position also involves in maintaining an up-to-date inventory, tracking asset movements, and collaborating with various departments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Asset Tracking:

- Develop and maintain an accurate, up-to-date and comprehensive asset register/ database that includes all company-owned equipment, machinery, and other assets along with their specified categories.

- Tag all assets to enable proper tracking and to prevent them from being misappropriated.

- Implement and manage tracking systems to monitor the location, condition, and status of assets.

Documentation and Recordkeeping:

- Create and manage detailed records for each asset, including purchase details, cost, depreciation, and current value.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and regulatory requirements in maintaining asset documentation.

- Record any loose of equipment/ asset by the department/ individual and report to the concern department(s) for action.

Depreciation Management:

- Calculate and record depreciation for all assets in accordance with accounting principles.

- Monitor and update depreciation schedules as necessary, ensuring accurate financial reporting.

Asset Disposal and Retirement:

- Coordinate the proper disposal or retirement of assets that are no longer in use.

- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with disposal procedures and regulations.

Collaboration with Other Departments:

- Work closely with procurement, finance, and operational departments to ensure accurate recording of asset acquisitions and disposals.

- Collaborate with IT to track and manage technology-related assets, including hardware and software.

Risk Management:

- Identify and assess potential risks related to asset management.

Pay: AED4,000.00 per month
