Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. In this vital role, you will support our accounting operations by managing various bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with financial reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintaining accurate general ledger accounting and account reconciliation processes
• Prepare and record journal entries, including debits and credits, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and vendor payments
• Conduct bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to verify financial accuracy
• Help with payroll processing
• Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks to perform daily bookkeeping tasks

Experience

• Prior experience with bookkeeping or accounting support roles preferred but not required; relevant internships are welcome
• Familiarity with QuickBooks
• Knowledge of financial concepts such as double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation
• Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently and accurately for data entry tasks
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and financial analysis
• Basic understanding of payroll processing and tax experience

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
