Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
- Bachelor in Engineering/ Bachelor in Science with MBA (Marketing)/ Masters/ MS/ MPhil in English/ Brand Communication/ Science Communication from an HEC recognized University with 4-6 years of experience in the relevant field.
Desirable:
- Bachelor in Engineering/ Bachelor in Science with MBA (Marketing)/ Masters/ MS/ MPhil in Public Relations/ Media Studies/ Journalism from an HEC recognized University with 6-8 years of experience in the relevant field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Convert complex NUST breakthroughs (e.g., AI, renewables, biotech) into compelling narratives for global journals, policy briefings, and public campaigns which will directly boost citations and rankings visibility.
- Prepare concise, evidence-based police briefs/reports that showcase scientific insights and breakthroughs and their relevance of NUST’s innovations to national development priorities, including water, energy, etc.
- Draft accurate and timely communications that address public misinformation on sensitive scientific issues, ensuring institutional credibility and public trust.
- Support commercialization and funding efforts by developing clear, compelling content, such as research briefs, to promote NUST’s R&D initiatives.
- Contribute to the creation of high-impact content assets (e.g., documentaries, podcasts, lab walkthroughs) that position NUST as a leader in science and innovation storytelling.
- Assist faculty members and research scholars in effectively communicating their work to the media, donors, collaborators, and international academic peers.
- Collaborate with digital teams to develop simplified, visually engaging explainers (e.g., short videos, reels) to encourage youth interest in STEAM education.
- Proactively pitch significant research outputs and innovations to credible science and technology media platforms to expand institutional recognition.
- Collect and analyze data on how science communication influences tangible outcomes such as stakeholder awareness, funding opportunities, or policy engagement.
- Ensure sensitive research areas are communicated responsibly

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Late / incomplete applications will be ignored.
- Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
