Assistant Finance Manager

We are hiring for our Head Office at SMS Group of Companies, a leading chemical solutions provider in Pakistan known for quality, innovation and integrity since 1990, with diversified operations in chemical manufacturing and trading.

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Finance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the Finance Manager in overseeing financial operations, reporting, compliance and internal controls.

This role is suitable for candidates who are capable of independently handling finance functions when required and are looking to grow within a structured finance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Support financial closing processes and reconciliation activities
• Prepare management reports and financial analysis
• Maintain proper books of accounts and ensure accurate record-keeping
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable processes
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements
• Coordinate with auditors and support audit processes
• Maintain fixed asset register and financial documentation
• Perform financial data analysis to support management decision-making
• Ensure smooth day-to-day finance operations
• Coordinate and handle bank-related matters as assigned by the Finance Manager, including bank correspondence, documentation, reconciliations and transaction follow-ups.
• Flexible mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• BBA (Finance), B.Com, MBA (Finance), ACCA (Part Qualified) or equivalent
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and closing procedures
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Salary & Benefits

• Starting salary: Rs55,000 – Rs60,000 per month
