Assistant Head of Department (Python) at Source Code Academia

Location: Bahria Town, Rawalpindi(On-site)

Source Code Academia is a mission-driven educational institution known for its innovative STEM curriculum and collaborative learning environment. We are seeking a talented and experienced Python educator to join our team as an Assistant Head of Department (Python). In this role, you will help develop the Python curriculum, mentor instructors, and ensure high-quality programming education for our students.

Key Responsibilities

• Curriculum Development: Assist in planning and developing the Python curriculum, projects, and course modules. Ensure alignment with educational objectives and industry best practices.
• Instructor Supervision: Supervise and mentor Python instructors, ensuring quality control of classes through regular observations and feedback.
• Teacher Training & Evaluation: Conduct regular evaluations of teaching staff and course content. Provide support and training to instructors to improve teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.
• Student Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress in Python courses and provide guidance as needed. Coordinate with the Mathematics department to integrate cross-disciplinary learning where appropriate.
• Project Oversight: Oversee and review student Python projects (across multiple batches), including assigning projects, tracking progress, and providing feedback to students.
• Strategic Planning: Attend weekly planning meetings with the academic leadership team and contribute to strategy development for curriculum improvements and student engagement.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Python Proficiency: Strong foundation in Python programming, including expertise in data structures, algorithms, and project development.
• Educational Experience: Prior experience in academic coordination, curriculum development, or lead teaching roles, preferably in a STEM or programming education environment.
• Leadership and Communication: Excellent communication skills and strong leadership ability. Experience mentoring instructors and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Student-Focused Passion: Demonstrated passion for student engagement, teaching excellence, and continuous curriculum improvement.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent practical experience).
