Job Purpose:

The Assistant Inventory Auditor supports the Internal Audit and Finance teams in monitoring, verifying, and controlling inventory across manufacturing and retail operations. The role focuses on ensuring inventory accuracy, preventing losses, supporting cost control, and strengthening internal controls through regular audits and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Audit Support

· Assist in physical stock counts at warehouses, factories, and fashion retail outlets.

· Participate in cycle counts and surprise inventory checks at stores.

· Reconcile physical stock with ERP/POS system records and report discrepancies.

2. Manufacturing & Warehouse Coordination

· Assist in verifying raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory.

· Support review of production outputs vs. input consumption.

· Coordinate with warehouse, production, and store teams during audit activities.

3. System & Compliance

· Ensure compliance with inventory SOPs, store procedures, and internal controls.

· Assist in reviewing ERP / POS inventory reports for accuracy.

· Maintain audit documentation and working papers.

Key Skills & Competencies:

· Basic understanding of inventory auditing and stock control.

· Exposure to fashion retail inventory, SKUs, sizes, colors, and seasonal collections.

· Strong attention to detail and reconciliation skills.

· Ability to travel to retail outlets for stock verification.

· Working knowledge of ERP and POS systems.

· Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred).

Qualifications & Experience:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

· Experience:

o 1–3 years of experience in inventory audit, retail stock control, or store auditing.

o Fashion brand / apparel retail outlet experience is highly preferred.

o Candidates with experience in multi-store retail environments will be an advantage.
