Assistant Manager (Accounts)

India

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:

o Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

o Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.

o Provide financial analysis and support for strategic planning and decision- making processes.

o Identify trends, variances, and areas of financial risk or opportunity.

2. Accounting and Financial Reporting:

o Oversee daily financial transactions and ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial activities.

o Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.

o Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.

o Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with audit requirements.

3. Internal Controls and Compliance:

o Develop, implement, and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.

o Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.

o Conduct regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify areas for improvement.

4. Treasury and Cash Management:

o Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.

o Oversee banking relationships and manage debt financing arrangements.

o Optimize the use of financial resources to achieve the best returns on investments.

5. Cost Management:

o Analyze and control costs to improve profitability.

o Implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.

o Review and approve expense reports and payment requests.

6. Taxation:

o Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and timely filing of tax returns.

o Optimize tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.

o Liaise with external tax advisors as necessary.

7. Team Management:

o Supervise and mentor finance team members, providing guidance and support for their professional development.

o Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

8. Payroll Processing:

o Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

o Maintain payroll records and reports, including timesheets, wage calculations, tax deductions, and benefits administration.

o Ensure timely payment of salaries, wages, bonuses, and deductions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Tally, Microsoft Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
