Assistant Manager – Business Development

Location: Lahore, Pakistan

Position Overview


The Assistant Manager – Business Development is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building strategic client relationships, and supporting the development of new business verticals. This role focuses on lead generation, market expansion, proposal development, and coordinating with internal teams to convert opportunities into revenue.


Key Responsibilities


Business Growth & Client Acquisition


Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted markets and sectors.


Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.


Conduct regular market research to monitor trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas.


Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, tenders, and commercial presentations.


Partnerships & Strategic Initiatives


Support leadership in building strategic alliances, partnerships, and key accounts.


Explore and evaluate new services, business models, and product offerings.


Assist in developing go-to-market plans for new business lines.


Sales Acquisition


Coordinate with operations teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery.


Track sales pipeline, maintain CRM records, and prepare weekly/monthly reports for management review.


Generate & Follow up with leads, conduct client meetings/presentations, and support negotiation processes.



Required Skills & Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or relevant field (MBA preferred).


2–4 years of experience in BD, Sales, or Client Relations (experience in logistics/transport/services is a plus).


Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.


Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and reporting tools.


Good understanding of business fundamentals, pricing, and market dynamics.


Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working under minimal supervision.


Ability to travel within city and to other regions when required.
