Assistant Manager – Fabric Sourcing (Polyester-Based Fabrics)

Position Overview:

Shams & Brothers is seeking a skilled and proactive Assistant Manager Fabric Sourcing with strong expertise in polyester-based fabrics. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in fabric sourcing, vendor management, and end-to-end processes from yarn to finished fabric. The role requires deep knowledge of both natural and manmade fabrics, along with strong market insight and negotiation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Source polyester-based fabrics and ensure timely procurement as per production requirements.

Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and evaluate vendor performance.

Oversee the complete sourcing cycle, including yarn selection, fabric development, dyeing, finishing, and quality approvals.

Analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and new fabric developments.

Coordinate with Production, Merchandising, and Quality teams to ensure material specifications and timelines are met.

Maintain sourcing records, cost sheets, and procurement reports.

Ensure compliance with company quality standards and sourcing procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3–5 years of relevant experience in fabric sourcing (polyester-based fabrics preferred).

Strong understanding of fabric manufacturing processes (yarn → weaving/knitting → dyeing → finishing).

Knowledge of natural fibers (cotton, linen, wool) and manmade fibers (polyester, viscose, modal, nylon).

Strong supplier network within the local and international textile market.

Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timelines.
