Job Summary


This role is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight to support business growth. This role leads budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash-flow management while maintaining strong internal controls and driving process improvements. The Assistant Finance Manager acts as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, providing financial analysis and recommendations that influence key decisions. In addition, the role oversees day-to-day accounting activities, ensures regulatory compliance, and mentors the finance team to deliver high-quality performance and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to drive revenue growth and profitability.
  • Oversee timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations including AR, AP, GL, payroll interface, and bank reconciliation.
  • Review P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and store performance reports with senior leadership.
  • Adherence to all mandatory statutory compliances and liaison with government authorities for seamless closure.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely completion of statutory audits.
  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
  • Analyze sales trends, customer behavior, and store profitability through data driven reporting and analytics and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Analyze financial performance, variances, and trends to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, setting clear performance goals and providing regular feedback.
  • Support retail operations with financial insights on store performance, stock management, and promotions.
  • Drive automation, system enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives across the finance function.
  • Manage relationships with banks, vendors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Review, negotiate, and renewal of various insurance policies.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with confidence to deal with Executive Leadership.
  • Professional certification preferred: CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA
  • Minimum 7–10 years of finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
  • Experience in retail, FMCG, or luxury sector is highly preferred
  • Experience leading financial planning, audits, and cross-functional projects
  • Good team management experience.
  • Must have experience with ERP systems preferably Dynamics 365
