Assistant Manager (Grocery Procurement)

Role Description:

This is a full-time on-site role located in Quetta, as a Grocery Assistant Manager. The Grocery Assistant Manager will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in the overall operations of a grocery store, providing excellent customer service, supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage and control all the departmental activities of Grocery Procurement.

· Maintain a detailed awareness of current and emerging procurement best practices and ensure all associated policies of the organization are reviewed accordingly.

· Ensure materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time for smooth operation.

· Establish strategic relationships with key suppliers who are aligned to the company's needs.

· Identify new suppliers, agreed terms and negotiate supply agreements where appropriate, including discount structures and volume rebates.

· Foster close working relationships with associated departments e.g. Accounts, Finance, Operations & Warehouse.

· Continually improve purchasing methods and drive down external spends.

· Time to time visit the Suppliers to build business relationship for longer run.

· To carry out a comprehensive review of the Purchasing function and its methodology.

· Coordinate for vendor activity and negotiations.

· Analyze trends in vendor pricing and sales activity to determine correct timing of purchases.

· Ensure performance data is obtained regarding the organization’s key suppliers, contractors and service providers, and that such data is reviewed in order to identify and correct weaknesses.

· Attend Daily and occasionally meetings with other departments and as well as management

· Prepare and monitor all activities and documentation of ISO-9001, HACCP & ISO-22000 standards.

· Participate in internal & surveillance audit.

· Ensure Compliance of all HSE, HACCAP, ISO 22000/9001/14000 & 45001 related guidelines related to his area of responsibility.

Skills

· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

· Must have Knowledge regarding Grocery items

· Experience in Supermarkets and Sales

· Inventory Control management skills

· Good Negotiation Skills

· Good Interpersonal Skills

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel

Qualification

· Graduate/Masters (BBA, MBA. Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field)

Experience

· Minimum 3 to 5 year preferable in Catering/Departmental Stores or Food industry

· Prior experience in a grocery store setting, with a focus on customer service, staff supervision, and inventory management

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs75,000.00 - Rs80,000.00 per month
