Assistant Manager – Maintenance (Plant & Mechanical)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Maintenance (Plant & Mechanical) to manage plant and mechanical maintenance activities. The role focuses on preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery, coordination with technicians, and ensuring smooth, safe plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance for plant machinery

Handle mechanical maintenance of production equipment and utilities

Monitor equipment performance and minimize machine downtime

Coordinate with maintenance technicians, contractors, and production teams

Maintain maintenance logs, schedules, and documentation

Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and statutory requirements

Support machine installation, commissioning, and modification activities

Manage spare parts planning, inventory, and vendor coordination

Education (Minimum Qualification)

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) or

BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience

4 to 8 years of experience in plant / mechanical maintenance

Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of plant machinery and mechanical systems

Preventive maintenance planning and execution

Exposure to industrial dampers, expansion joints, fabrication, or welding is an advantage

Knowledge of safety standards and maintenance documentation

Good leadership, coordination, and communication skills

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
