Assistant Manager of Sourcing and Development

Role and Responsibilities:

The Assistant Manager of Sourcing and Development will be expected to undertake the following responsibilities:

● Source fabrics and trims as per customer requirements for export orders and internal sample development

● Work closely with suppliers on product development:

○ Oversee sample construction for new developments

○ Conduct sampling meetings and field visits to make sure product development is in line with expectations ○ Manage product reviews and oversee sampling follow ups as necessary ● Make sure all incoming client inquiries are handled in a timely fashion

● Convert customer designs into tech packs / production guidelines if required

● Provide guidance on fabrics and fit based on customer needs

● Build out a robust database of traders, brokers, fabric and trim suppliers across categories in line with targets set with the management team. Including but not limited to: o Stock / Ready Knitted Fabrics o Stock / Ready Woven Fabrics (denim and non-denim) o Female Fashion Fabrics (silk, linen, crepe)

● Product Development: o Find new suppliers in line with focus areas for the company o Develop new samples and concepts with suppliers and partners in line with company strategy

● Product Libraries: o Develop product libraries and hangers in both knitwear and woven fabrics as per management guidelines o Design and present libraries in a professional manner The Sourcing and Development professional is expected to have the following skills / experience:

● 5+ years of experience working for a retail brand or manufacturing setup in the textile industry where they were directly involved in the sourcing and development process

● Deep understanding of available fabrics, trims, and materials

● Ability to comprehend customer tech packs and garment manufacturing requirements

● Have direct relationships with local vendors working in the textile industry so that they can perform sourcing and development related tasks efficiently

● Motivated, team player who is able to communicate well and has good work ethic

● Ability to operate independently and use of technology is expected

● Good written and verbal communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs120,000.00 - Rs190,000.00 per month
